Valentine’s Day

Valentine's Day-thumb

Valentines Day

“Valentine’s Day” is a gauche painting that originally was to be a February calendar image. In addition to Valentine’s Day, President’s Day is in February. The profile on the upper left was Abraham Lincoln. The profile in the upper right was preliminarily George Washington. The stronger message of Valentine’s Day won out. There are two hearts beating as one, the heart shaped doily, and the profiles of a traditional couple. So . . . the profile on the upper right was converted from George Washington, to a more feminine looking profile.

And so. . . it is what it is. . . Happy Valentine’s Day!!
